Students in Mr. Izzy's 8th-grade science classes explored the following standards:

Construct an explanation using Newton's Laws of Motion to describe the effects of balanced and unbalanced forces on the motion of an object and analyze and interpret data to identify patterns in the relationships between speed and distance, and velocity and acceleration! We are impressed by how far a recycled water bottle, lots of masking tape, a little water, and cardboard can go!

We are proud to be American readers at WCMS.. wearing our red, white and blue and playing book bingo in the library practicing our literacy skills.

Together, we reflected, learned, and uplifted the voices and contributions that have shaped our world. Our 8th-grade ELA and Social Studies classes held their highly anticipated mock trial last week! Not only does this lesson support learning outside of the box, but it also supports critical thinking, teamwork, and argumentative language.
