Summer School Fun Continues!
This week in our MS robotics lab, we’re diving deep into the world of innovation as we build our very own Turnabot robots!
Students enjoyed brainstorming ideas and sketching designs to assemble components and program movements with STEM components.
Students also collaborate, share ideas, and learn from one another. We're loving to see all the creativity in action!

🧪⛏️ SCIENCE CAME TO LIFE IN Ms. Jackson’s CLASSROOM! ⛏️🧪 Ms. Jackson and her 6th grade students brought learning to life with an engaging hands-on mining activity focused on Georgia Standard S6E6! 🌎🍪 Students became “miners” as they used chocolate chip cookies as mining sites, toothpicks as mining tools, and data collection sheets to track and analyze their work just like real scientists and geologists. Through this interactive lesson, students explored the environmental effects of mining, including how mining can impact land, water, and natural habitats. They also discussed why reclamation and conservation are important in protecting Earth’s resources and restoring the environment after mining activities take place. 🌱🌍 Students were fully engaged, actively participating, and able to clearly articulate their learning and connections to the standard.
