Wilkinson County Middle School extends appreciation to Oconee RESA for introducing the Lit, Love, Read campaign, a Georgia-based literacy initiative designed to strengthen reading skills through daily read-aloud experiences.
Throughout the campaign, read-alouds helped deepen student comprehension, build connections to texts, and promote a lasting appreciation for reading. WCMS recognizes Ms. Franklin and Ms. Qualls for their role in bringing these experiences to students.
WCMS also recognizes students who participated in the Young Georgia Authors Competition, another initiative supported by Oconee RESA. Participants included John Stephens, Gracelyn Cowart, and Mia Smalley, who represented the school through their writing and commitment to literacy.
Wilkinson County Schools appreciates the continued partnership with Oconee RESA and the efforts of both staff and students in supporting literacy across all grade levels.
