Wilkinson County Schools believes that strong attendance is essential for academic success. Consistent, daily attendance is closely linked to higher achievement, improved readiness for future grade levels, and the development of important life skills that support long-term success.
At the November Board of Education meeting, students in grades Pre-K through 12 were recognized for maintaining perfect attendance from August 1 through October 31. Families, board members, and school leaders joined together to celebrate these students’ commitment to showing up each and every day.
We extend our sincere appreciation to the parents, guardians, and family members who attended the meeting in support of their children. Your partnership—especially in ensuring that students are present, prepared, and engaged—plays a vital role in their success.
Wilkinson County Schools remains committed to promoting positive attendance habits and celebrating the achievements of our scholars. Attendance matters, and together, we can continue to encourage a strong start to the school year.
