For the past few weeks, students and staff across Wilkinson County Schools have stepped up in a meaningful way, collecting canned goods and non-perishable items to support the Middle Georgia Community Food Bank and 13WMAZ’s Stuff the Truck campaign.
Today, representatives from each school helped deliver these donations to the Walmart Supercenter in Milledgeville, contributing nearly 1,000 items to the regional effort. The generosity shown across our district reflects the heart of #WarriorNation and our shared commitment to serving others.
Over the next few days, the Middle Georgia Community Food Bank will weigh and sort all donated items before distributing them to partner agencies across Middle Georgia. Once that information is available, we will share a full update on the impact made by our Wilkinson County community.
We extend our sincere appreciation to Superintendent Dr. Angela James and the principals of Wilkinson County Primary School, Wilkinson County Elementary School, Wilkinson County Middle School, and Wilkinson County High School for supporting this effort.
A special thank you goes to the incredible student volunteers from WCHS’ FBLA, FFA, HOSA, and Beta Club, as well as our varsity cheerleaders and members of our JROTC/AFJROTC. Their energy and willingness to lend a helping hand made today’s experience even more meaningful.
